Earthquake in Mumbai

Earthquake in Mumbai City experiences second light-intensity tremors in 24 hours This is reportedly the third earthquake in Maharashtra reported in the last 24 hours.  A second earthquake hit Mumbai in 24 hours at 6.36 am on September 5. The light-intensity earthquake of 2.7 magnitude on the Richter Scale occurred 98 km north of Mumbai, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The NCS on its twitter account tweeted, "Earthquake of Magnitude: 2.7, Occurred on 05-09-2020, 06:36:31 IST, Lat: 19.96 & Long: 72.83, Depth: 5 Km, Location: 98 km N of Mumbai, Maharashtra." No loss of life or damage to property has been reported.

The CM agreed to reconstruct the 2 masaajid at exact same location as they were before 7 July. In addition, 1500 sq.yards situated between 2 masaajid will also be allotted The two mosques will be reconstructed, each in 750 square feet (total 1500 sq feet), at the same location, including one Imam quarters.

Allahabad HC Orders Release of Kafeel Khan, NSA Charges Revoked The order was passed by a division bench of Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice Saumitra Dayal Singh. The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday, 1 September, revoked the National Security Act (NSA) charges against Dr Kafeel Khan, and directed his immediate release. The order by a Division Bench of Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice Saumitra Dayal Singh read: “The order of detention dated 13 February 2020 passed by district magistrate and confirmed by the state of Uttar Pradesh is set aside. The extension of the period of mention of detenue Dr Kafeel Khan is also declared illegal. A writ in the nature of habeas corpus is hereby issued to release Dr Kafeel Khan, the detente from state custody forthwith.” THE COURT SAY?
