 NN NEWS::*PRESS NOTE* *HUSBAND GOT 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT CONVICTION FOR ABETTING HIS WIFE TO COMMIT SUICIDE*.


*CR. NO. 318/2016  U/S 498 (A), 306 IPC & Sec 4 of DP Act  OF ADIBATLA PS, RACHAKONDA*



The facts of the case are that, on 29.12.2016 at 2300 hrs Adibatla Police received a statement of Smt Udugula Aruna W/o Srinivas Age 35 Yrs Occ Housewife R/o Kongarakalan Village, Ibrahimpatnam Mandal, Ranga Reddy District wherein, she stated that, in the year 2001 her marriage was performed with accused Udugula Srinivas S/o Yadaiah, Age 45 Yrs, R/o H.No.6-113/1, Kongarakalan Village, Ibrahimpatnam Mandal, Ranga Reddy District working as Driver. They blessed with 2 childrens. Accused Udugula Srinivas suspected on her character and mentally harassed her for additional dowry. Vexed on her life on 28.12.2016 the victim Smt Udugula Aruna poured kerosene on her body and set ablaze. Immediately she was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment. While undergoing treatment on 10.01.2017 at 2230 hrs she died. 

Basing on the above complaint a case was registered vide Cr.No. 318/2016  U/S 498 (A), 306 IPC & Sec 4 of DP Act  OF ADIBATLA PS. During the course of investigation, IO collected the evidence and arrested the accused and sent to judicial custody. 

*During the trial today i.e., 21.03.2023 the Hon'ble ASJ Court at Ibrahimpatnam Judge Smt D Indra convicted the accused person Udugula Srinivas S/o Yadaiah, Age 45 Yrs, R/o H.No.6-113/1, Kongarakalan Village, Ibrahimpatnam Mandal, Ranga Reddy District to undergo 5 Years Rigirous Imprisonment conviction and imposed fine of Rs. 4,000/-*.

In this case the IO Sri. V.Madanlal SIP Now Kushaiguda PS, Addl PP. Sri K.Naresh Kumar, CDO B.Archana of Adibatla PS have attended on behalf of prosecution.

CP Rachakonda Sri. D S Chauhan IPS., and Joint CP Sri V. Satyanarayana IPS.,appreciated the IO, CDO and Addl.PP for their efforts in getting the conviction to the accused persons and announced rewards to them.
